Report on Tullamore Inc meeting 11th July 2012
Tullamore Hall:
The NSW Government's Community Halls grant scheme is discontinued. It will be replaced by other schemes. Tull Inc will liaise with Troy Grant MP for guidance.
The Hall will gain $200.00 from the Essential Energy Community Hall scheme thanks to the successful application lodged by Emma Williams.
Men's Shed:
The Hall and Library plumbing has been attended to thanks to several Men's Shed members.
Patching of holes and sanding is being done in the kitchen area of the Hall. Some men have been meeting 2x week to speed up work on the kitchen.
The shipping container has been readjusted and put in its final position.
Tullamore Tales:
Thanks to Tracey and Garry Cashman, the 100-copy publication is keeping the Tullamore community informed each month. However, Tracey would love to have even more local content. She needs your stories/reports by the 20th of the month.
Drum Muster:
The most recent Drum Muster netted $326 for the Hall.
There will be a Drum Muster "clean and stack" day 25th Aug 12-3pm. Anyone is welcome to assist at the waste transfer depot.
Tullamore Irish Festival:
The Tullamore Irish Festival committee has welcomed Megan Mortimer into the Media and Publicity portfolio.
Tullamore Cookbooks:
On Facebook, Megan Mortimer reports 78 "likes" for the Cookbook
Tony Owen is setting up a Cookbook "shop" on the Tullamore website
Sales of the famous book continue.
Youth Group and Drop-in centre:
Tull Inc has given approval for this to go ahead under its auspices.
Youth Disco:
There will be an under-18 Disco at the Tullamore Bowling Club Saturday 25th August 6-9pm
Tullamore Directory:
Copies of the current Tullamore directory have been placed in 5 businesses in town for people to amend or add their contact details, before the end of August.
As always, Tullamore town and district residents are invited to participate in the pulsating discussions and decisions which occur at the T&DCCC and Tull Inc meetings each month.
To increase the vitality and welfare of the Tullamore community, come join the next meetings on Wed 8th Aug at Tullamore Bowling Club @ 7pm and 8pm.
